We are a social club of Rugby Union players over the age of 35 years, competing in Gala Days against many other Golden Oldies Clubs. Our area of travel stretches from as far north as Port Macquarie to down south as far as Shoalhaven. We also play games in areas such as Terry Hills, Blacktown, Eastwood, Newcastle, Forster, Nelsons Bay, Terrigal and many more. We participate in around 8 to 10 games per season, including our own Gala Day which is held in the grounds of “Mount Penang Parkland Gardens”.
Central Coast Seagulls has been in existence for the past 25 years and was originally formed to compete in the 1983 International Golden Oldies Festival held in Sydney. The founding members of this team were from Gosford, Kariong, Terrigal and Wyong Rugby Union Clubs. We are a self funded club relying on annual membership fees, raffles and our Gala Days to raise funds in order to continue operating. Currently there are approximately 45 members registered with the Seagulls. We conduct a weekly meat raffle on Thursdays at ‘Henry Kendall Tavern’, West Gosford. We are not affiliated with any senior rugby sides on the Central Coast and operate totally independently.
We are always looking for new members and would love for you to join us. If you are interested please contact one of our committee members.
So if you feel you are not over the hill, and would still like to play ‘The Game they play in Heaven’, give our President, Stewart, a call on 0417 675 103.
